1. Toute correspondance relative à la revue, ainsi que les propositions
d’articles et de comptes rendus sont à adresser à : BELGEO
– Institut de Géographie – Université Libre de Bruxelles
– CP 246 – Bd du Triomphe – 1050 Bruxelles, ou par e-mail
(cvdmotte@ulb.ac.be). Les figures seront envoyées séparément,
de préférence au format JPG ou PDF.
2. Le comité de rédaction examine chaque article et le soumet
ensuite anonymement à l’avis de deux referees. Les auteurs peuvent
être priés d’apporter certaines corrections à leur
texte. Au cas où celui-ci doit être revu de manière substantielle,
une seconde soumission à l’avis des referees est possible avant
toute acceptation de publication. Celle-ci est laissée à la discrétion
du comité de rédaction.
3. En principe, les textes n’excéderont pas 30 000 caractères.
4. En fin d’article les auteurs indiqueront leur adresse et leur adresse
électronique de correspondance.
5. Les titres (en minuscules) seront nettement dégagés et hiérarchisés
avec un maximum de trois niveaux, sans numérotation.
6. Si des mots doivent être mis en évidence dans le texte, seul
l’italique sera utilisé.
7. Les figures et les photographies, ces dernières limitées au
strict minimum, seront numérotées en continu. Les tableaux seront
numérotés séparément.
8. La numérotation des notes infrapaginales (à éviter autant
que possible) sera également continue ; elles seront reportées
en fin d’article.
9. Les références bibliographiques seront libellées comme
suit :
• s’il s’agit d’un article : NOM DE L’AUTEUR et
initiale du prénom. (date), «titre de l’article», titre
de la revue, volume, pages, ville d’édition, éditeur;
• s’il s’agit d’un livre : NOM DE L’AUTEUR et
initiale du prénom. (date), titre du livre, ville d’édition,
éditeur.
Dans la bibliographie in fine les références seront classées
par ordre alphabétique des auteurs et, si plusieurs références
au même auteur sont citées, par date.
10. Dans le corps du texte, tous les noms d’auteurs apparaîtront
en minuscules. Les références dans le texte à un article
ou à un livre cité dans la bibliographie in fine se limiteront
au nom de l’auteur (en minuscules), suivi de la date de la publication
et éventuellement de la page entre parenthèses.
11. Les articles pourront être rédigés en français,
néerlandais, anglais ou allemand. Ils seront précédés
d’un résumé (de 1000 caractères maximum) dans la
langue de l’article ainsi que dans une autre langue, de préférence
en anglais lorsque l’article n’est pas rédigé dans
cette langue, et accompagnés de mots-clés dans les deux langues
respectives.
12. Les articles n’engagent que leur auteur.
13. Les auteurs s’engagent à ne pas diffuser leurs articles via
l’internet avant la publication du numéro de BELGEO en question.
Par la suite, la source dans Belgeo devra toujours être mentionnée.

2. Na een grondige analyse door het redactiecomité wordt elk ingestuurd
artikel voorgelegd aan twee referees, die onbekend blijven voor de auteurs.
Aan de auteurs kan gevraagd worden om hun manuscript aan te passen. Bij belangrijke
wijzigingen kunnen de artikels opnieuw voorgelegd worden aan referees vooraleer
er een beslissing genomen wordt over hun publicatie. Het redactiecomité
neemt de eindbeslissing.
3. In principe hebben de teksten maximaal 30 000 karakters.
4. Aan het einde van het artikel vermelden de auteurs hun correspondentie- en
elektronisch adres.
5. De titels (in kleine letters) moeten duidelijk aangegeven worden, en zonder
nummering geordend worden met een maximum van drie niveaus.
6. Om een woord in de tekst te benadrukken worden uitsluitend cursieve letters
gebruikt.
7. De figuren en fotografische documenten, deze laatste beperkt tot het strikte
minimum, dienen doorlopend genummerd te worden. Tabellen krijgen een afzonderlijke
nummering.
8. Voetnoten (zoveel mogelijk te vermijden) worden ook doorlopend genummerd
en worden samengebracht aan het einde van het artikel.
9. De bibliografische referenties dienen opgesteld als volgt :
• in geval van een artikel : NAAM VAN DE AUTEUR, eerste letter van de
voornaam. (datum), «titel van het artikel», titel van het tijdschrift,
boekdeel, pagina’s, uitgaveplaats, uitgever;
• in geval van een boek : NAAM VAN DE AUTEUR, eerste letter van de voornaam.
(datum), titel van het boek, uitgaveplaats, uitgever.
In de bibliografie, worden de referenties gegeven in alfabetische volgorde van
de auteursnamen en, wanneer meerdere referenties naar dezelfde auteur verwijzen,
in chronologische volgorde.
10. In de tekst dienen alle auteursnamen in kleine letters te worden geschreven.
De referenties in de tekst (artikel, boek) zullen beperkt blijven tot de auteursnaam
(in kleine letters), gevolgd door de datum en eventueel de pagina tussen haakjes.
11. De artikels mogen in het Frans, het Nederlands, het Engels of het Duits
opgesteld worden. De auteur voegt er een samenvatting (van max. 1000 karakters)
bij in de taal van het artikel en in een andere taal, bij voorkeur in het Engels
wanneer het artikel niet in die taal opgesteld is, en sleutelwoorden in beide
talen.
12. De auteurs zijn verantwoordelijk voor hun bijdrage.
13. De auteurs verplichten er zich toe om hun artikels niet op het web te plaatsen
voor de publikatie van het desbetreffende nummer van BELGEO. Daarna moet er
duidelijk naar de bron, zijnde de publikatie in BELGEO, verwezen worden.

or e-mailed to : cvdmotte@ulb.ac.be. Figures will be sent separatly from the
text, preferably in JPG or PDF format.
2. Processing of articles:
The Editorial Board goes through each article, which is then submitted to two
referees’ judgment. Names of referees are confidential to the Editorial
Board. Authors may be asked to make revisions to their manuscript. If substantial
revision is required manuscripts may be re-reviewed before a decision to accept/publish
is made. Final acceptance of manuscripts for publication is at the discretion
of the Editors.
3. As a rule, the texts should not exceed 30,000 characters.
4. At the end of the paper the authors should indicate their correspondence
and E-mail address.
5. Headings should appear clearly in lower case. A maximum of three levels will
be accepted, without any numbering.
6. Only italics will be used to emphasise a word or a text.
7. Figures and photographic illustrations, these being limited to a strict minimum,
will be numbered in consecutive order separately from the tables.
8. The footnotes (to be avoided as much as possible) should only appear at the
end of the paper and their numbering will also be consecutive.
9. The references should be listed at the end of the paper in the following
form :
• in the case of a paper : NAME OF THE AUTHOR and first name initial.
(year of publication), «title of the paper», title of the review,
volume, pages, place of publication, publisher;
• in the case of a book : NAME OF THE AUTHOR and first name initial. (year
of publication), title of the book, place of publication, publisher.
In the bibliography, at the end of the paper, the references should be classified
in alphabetical order of the authors and, if several references to the same
author are mentioned, by date.
10. In the text, all the authors’ names should appear in lower case. The
references in the text to a paper or to a book mentioned in the bibliography
should be limited to the author’s name (in lower case) followed by the
year of publication and possibly the page between brackets.
11. Papers should be written in French, Dutch, English or German. They should
include an abstract (of max. 1000 characters) in the language of the paper and
one in another language, if possible in English if the paper is not written
in this language. There should be keywords in the two languages of the abstracts.
12. Authors alone are responsible for the opinions expressed in their papers.
13. The authors undertake not to put their article on the web before the publication
of the Belgeo issue in question. Afterwards, the source in Belgeo must be explicitly
mentioned in every case.
